Privacy policy

What we collect

Your account: full name, e-mail address, interface language, and your password, which is stored only in hashed form and never readable, not even by us.

Your professional profile, if you create one: display name, description, city and country, categories, languages, tools, rates, portfolio links, and the contact e-mail or phone you choose to show.

Your advertisements: their content and the contact details you attach to them.

Estimate requests sent to the publishing institute: name, e-mail, phone if given, and the details of the book.

Technical data: your IP address is used for a short time to limit abuse (too many login attempts, for example). It is not stored in our database.

What is public

A published profile and a published advertisement are visible to everyone, including search engines, with the contact details you chose to show. Your account e-mail is never shown unless you enter it as a contact detail yourself. Drafts and advertisements awaiting review are not public.

Why we use it

To run the service you asked for: your account, your profile, your advertisements; to send the e-mails the service needs (address verification, password reset, moderation decisions); to answer estimate requests; and to keep the site safe from abuse. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies

We use only the cookies the site needs: session cookies that keep you signed in, and one cookie that remembers your language. There is no advertising or tracking cookie.

Who processes it for us

Vercel (website hosting), Render (application server), Supabase (database, hosted in Europe), Resend (sending e-mails), Zoho (our mailbox) and Sentry (reporting technical errors, without cookies or form contents). Some of these providers are located outside your country, including in the United States; they process data only to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

Your account and everything in it are kept until you delete the account. Estimate requests are kept as long as needed to handle them, and deleted on request. Sign-in, verification and reset links expire automatically.

Your rights

You can view and correct your details at any time from your dashboard, unpublish your profile, and delete your account from the account settings: the deletion is immediate and removes your profile and advertisements with it. For any other request (a copy of your data, a question, an objection), write to contact@shulchanorech.com.

Age

The service is intended for adults. Do not create an account if you are under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with its date. Significant changes will be announced by e-mail to registered users.
